Approved application, account, device, and dashboard services operate through controlled Vetromax service endpoints. Public brand and company information may be provided through vetromax.com. Contact: [email protected].

The VETROMAX UK app and related services are provided by Vetromax Ltd, a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales under company number 14419521. Its registered office is in England and Wales. Local distributor, installer, project, quotation, invoice, or site-specific details may be provided separately where required by the applicable contract, project document, or local law.

Questions about these Terms, the App, connected devices, accounts, or related services may be sent to [email protected] or by post to the registered office address above. Vetromax Ltd will make reasonable efforts to respond to enquiries promptly.

2.3 Location and nearby device data

The app may request access to approximate location, precise location, nearby device information, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi/network information, IP address, device identifiers, and mobile device permission status where needed for the VETROMAX UK service. This may be used for approved device setup, Wi-Fi provisioning, Bluetooth pairing, nearby device discovery, local access, emergency fallback, site verification, access control, security, command audit logs, troubleshooting, maintenance, support, fraud prevention, and protection of connected premises and equipment.

The app may also store location labels entered by a user, installer, service user, or admin, such as villa name, project name, room name, door location, device location, or installation notes. Where location data is linked to an account, villa, device, door, support request, or command event, it may be retained with the relevant operational, security, or audit record.

VETROMAX UK does not sell location data and does not use location data for third-party advertising or tracking. If a user refuses or disables the required location, Bluetooth, local network, or device permission, the app may not be able to provide setup, access control, troubleshooting, support, security verification, or emergency fallback.

If background or always-on location access is added in a future version, it must be requested through the operating system permission flow and described in this notice and in the App Store privacy disclosure before that feature is used.

2.4 Source of account and project data

Some account, villa, device, and door allocation data may be provided directly by the user. Other records may be created or updated by the client owner, Vetromax administrator, service user, installer, or the person who requested activation of that user or site.

2.5 How we use data

2.6 Lawful basis

We process personal data where necessary to provide the app and connected door control service, to perform or prepare a contract, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as access control, security, fraud prevention, safety, maintenance, service diagnostics, and command audit logs. Where the law or the operating system requires consent, such as optional marketing or location, Bluetooth, local network, photo, notification, or other device permissions, we will request consent or permission.

2.7 Sharing data

We do not sell personal data. We may share necessary data with:

These parties may act as service providers/processors for VETROMAX UK or, where legally required, as independent controllers. Some cloud, hosting, diagnostics, or communication providers may process data in countries outside the user's country of residence. Where required, VETROMAX UK will use appropriate legal safeguards for such transfers.

2.8 Security

The service uses approved login, role-based access, device assignment, command logs, Bluetooth PIN validation, device pairing records, server-side access restriction state, and admin/service/client role separation. Users must keep credentials private. VETROMAX UK may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts or devices where there is suspected misuse, unauthorised access, unsafe behaviour, or security risk.

2.9 Retention

Account and site access records are kept while the user or project remains active. Device configuration and command logs may be retained for safety, maintenance, warranty, audit, fraud prevention, dispute investigation, and legal compliance. Test logs may be deleted when no longer required. Users may request deletion, but some records may need to be retained where required for safety, contractual, legal, or audit purposes.

Bluetooth scan results, Wi-Fi scan results, network data, phone location data, and device permission data are retained only as long as needed for setup, nearby device discovery, provisioning, diagnostics, fallback control, security, audit, support, maintenance, dispute investigation, or legal compliance.

2.10 User rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or request portability of personal data. Requests can be sent to [email protected]. Users also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or another applicable data protection authority.

Where processing is based on consent, users may withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out before the withdrawal. Some app features, including Bluetooth discovery, provisioning, password reset, support, or door access, may stop working if the permissions or data required for those features are withdrawn.

2.11 App Store privacy summary

The app is not intended to track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising.

3. Terms of Use

3.1 Approved access only

Users may use the VETROMAX UK app only if approved by Vetromax or an authorised project administrator. Login credentials, device codes, Bluetooth PINs, and access tokens must not be shared with unauthorised people. Each user is responsible for actions taken through their account.

3.2 Door control and safety

The app controls physical doors, connected equipment, and automation equipment. Users must operate doors only when it is safe to do so and must ensure that people, vehicles, pets, objects, and property are clear of the door path. The app is not a substitute for physical safety sensors, professional installation, legal safety compliance, or routine maintenance.

Where a user operates a door remotely from another room, another site, another country, or anywhere else in the world, that user remains responsible for confirming that the door can move safely before sending an open, close, stop, limited open, access restriction, access release, or other command. The same responsibility applies where the app is used by a family member, spouse, child, maid, guest, household staff member, tenant, authorised user, service user, or any other person who has been given access by the client, owner, household, installer, or administrator.

Clients and users are responsible for supervising all authorised users, keeping account access private, maintaining physical safety devices, and ensuring that doors are not operated when any person, vehicle, animal, object, or property is in or near the door path. VETROMAX UK and Vetromax are not responsible for losses, damage, or incidents caused by a user operating a door remotely, operating without visual confirmation, allowing another person to use the app, or failing to check the door area before operation, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Clients, owners, parents, guardians, and household administrators are fully responsible for deciding whether any child or minor is allowed to access a phone, account, passcode, biometric unlock, widget, shortcut, voice assistant, or application capable of operating a Vetromax door. Any command, accidental tap, repeated tap, misuse, unauthorised use, or unsafe operation by a child, minor, guest, family member, maid, household staff member, tenant, or other person with access to the user's phone or account is the responsibility of the client, owner, or account holder, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

3.3 Third-party automation and voice control

If a Vetromax door, connected module, mobile device, or account is connected to home automation, building automation, third-party operators, wall screens, mobile widgets, shortcuts, Siri, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, other voice assistants, external apps, remote controls, access control systems, or any other non-Vetromax system, those systems may behave incorrectly, send unintended commands, fail to stop, fail to close, fail to open, or operate without proper user supervision.

Users and clients are responsible for the configuration, permissions, testing, security, and safe use of any third-party integration. VETROMAX UK and Vetromax are not responsible for accidents, injuries, property damage, unauthorised access, door movement, service failure, delay, malfunction, voice recognition error, shortcut error, automation rule error, widget error, screen/operator error, or other loss caused by third-party automation, third-party applications, assistants, integrations, wiring, or user-created automations, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

3.4 Client, site, and authorised user responsibility

The client, owner, site occupier, landlord, facilities manager, installer, service company, and account holder are responsible for deciding who is allowed to access the app, which villas and doors they may control, whether access should be restricted or removed, and whether each user is competent to operate the connected door safely. VETROMAX UK does not continuously supervise the site, confirm that a door path is clear, monitor children or guests, or verify the safety of every command before it is sent.

The client and site operator are responsible for ensuring that the door, frame, track, motor, connected control equipment, safety sensor, photocell, safety edge, emergency release, manual override, signage, power supply, wiring, earthing, enclosure, weather protection, and any connected automation equipment are suitable, compliant, maintained, tested, and safe for use at that site. VETROMAX UK and Vetromax are not responsible for site-specific hazards, obstructed sensors, bypassed sensors, missing sensors, damaged cables, water ingress, power instability, mechanical faults, worn parts, poor maintenance, or unsafe third-party installation except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

3.5 No safety, security, or emergency guarantee

The app and server are access-control and convenience tools. They are not a life-safety system, fire safety system, emergency exit system, security guard service, intruder alarm, CCTV monitoring service, child-supervision system, or guarantee that a premises, door, person, vehicle, or item of property is safe. Users must keep appropriate physical keys, manual releases, emergency procedures, and alternative safe access methods where required.

Access restriction mode, stop commands, hold states, Bluetooth fallback, server controls, logs, and notifications are technical control features only. They do not guarantee that a physical door will stop, stay closed, stay open, prevent entry, prevent exit, detect an obstacle, prevent an accident, or override all other local, manual, third-party, or home automation controls.

3.6 Account, phone, network, and credential security

Users are responsible for securing their phone, passcode, biometric unlock, saved passwords, email account, SMS access, Apple ID, cloud account, Wi-Fi router, local network, voice assistant account, widget, shortcut, home automation account, and Vetromax credentials. VETROMAX UK and Vetromax are not responsible for commands, access, data loss, unauthorised use, or unsafe operation caused by shared credentials, lost or stolen phones, unlocked phones, weak passwords, compromised email/SMS, malware, jailbroken or rooted devices, unauthorised Wi-Fi access, compromised routers, or any third-party account or device compromise, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

3.7 Access restriction mode

Authorised administrators and service users may restrict access to a door, device, user, villa, or project. When access restriction mode is active, user commands are disabled and the connected device may hold a configured control state. Users must not attempt to bypass access restriction mode through home automation, manual wiring, Bluetooth fallback, another phone, another account, or any unauthorised method.

VETROMAX UK administrators and authorised service users may remotely restrict, release, restore, suspend, or remove access to any account, villa, door, device, Bluetooth fallback path, or connected access feature where required for safety, security, maintenance, support, misuse prevention, non-payment, legal compliance, or client instruction. Access may be released only by an authorised admin or service user acting within their approved permission level.

3.8 Bluetooth fallback

Bluetooth fallback is provided for approved users and approved devices when server or Wi-Fi access is unavailable. Bluetooth access must still follow the server-approved user permissions and the saved device access restriction state. Bluetooth fallback is not permission to bypass admin restrictions.

3.9 Installation and maintenance

Connected devices, control modules, power supplies, door automation equipment, wiring, access configuration, and safety/access circuits must be installed and tested by competent personnel. Incorrect wiring, incorrect voltage, unsafe control configuration, or bypassed safety equipment can cause damage, injury, fire, or door malfunction.

Any change to wiring, access configuration, device software, safety circuits, power supply, home automation integration, network configuration, device settings, or physical door hardware after installation must be carried out and tested by competent personnel. VETROMAX UK and Vetromax are not responsible for faults, unsafe behaviour, overheating, fire, component failure, false triggers, missed commands, door impact, automation conflict, or damage caused by unauthorised modification, incorrect voltage, incorrect contact type, incorrect normally-open/normally-closed selection, poor cabling, or unsuitable components except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

3.10 Availability

The service depends on power, internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile device permissions, Apple services, cloud services, domain/DNS, device communication services, and device software. VETROMAX UK does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Users must keep alternative safe access methods where required.

Delays, duplicate taps, failed commands, missed commands, offline status, stale status, delayed notifications, delayed logs, Bluetooth scan failure, Wi-Fi failure, cloud outage, Apple or app store service failure, DNS failure, mobile network failure, router failure, ISP failure, device communication failure, device software failure, battery failure, operating system update, or third-party service outage may affect operation. Users must not rely on the app as the only way to enter, exit, secure, monitor, or make safe a site.

3.11 Force majeure

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, and Vetromax.com are not liable for failure, delay, interruption, reduced performance, or non-performance caused by events beyond their reasonable control. Such events may include natural disasters, fire, flood, severe weather, power failure, internet outage, mobile network outage, cloud or infrastructure failure, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, strikes, labour disputes, government action, legal restriction, supply-chain failure, or failure of a third party service, platform, network, hosting provider, DNS provider, Apple service, communication provider, or telecommunications provider.

3.12 Required permissions and service limits

Users acknowledge that the app may require location, Bluetooth, local network, Wi-Fi, notification, photo, device identifier, and internet permissions to provide setup, approved access, emergency fallback, support, diagnostics, security checks, and audit functions. If a user refuses, removes, disables, or restricts a permission required for a feature, VETROMAX UK may be unable to provide that feature and may restrict access until the required permission or setup condition is restored.

3.13 Intellectual property rights

All intellectual property rights in the VETROMAX UK application, server platform, dashboard, device software, access logic, documentation, user interface, designs, names, logos, trade marks, trade secrets, software, configuration methods, and related materials are owned by or licensed to VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, or their licensors. Use of the app, server, device software, or connected services does not grant any ownership rights to the user, client, installer, service company, distributor, reseller, or site operator.

Users must not copy, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, publish, reverse engineer, decompile, extract, recreate, or create derivative works from any part of the app, server, dashboard, device software, access logic, documentation, user interface, security model, pairing process, or bundled software except where expressly authorised in writing by VETROMAX UK or where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

3.14 Prohibited use

3.15 Suspension and removal

VETROMAX UK may suspend, restrict, release, restore, remove, or delete accounts, devices, doors, villas, logs, or access rights where necessary for safety, security, maintenance, non-payment, misuse, suspected compromise, legal compliance, client instruction, or service administration. This section covers account and access administration; section 3.7 covers the operational access restriction mode used on assigned doors or devices.

3.16 Service providers and maintenance users

A service provider, regional partner, installer, distributor, contractor, maintenance company, or service user may receive elevated access only where approved by VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, or the authorised project owner. That access is provided only for the approved project, site, villa, device, door, support task, installation task, or maintenance task.

Service providers and maintenance users must use individual approved accounts, must not share login credentials, must not create unauthorised access for their staff or subcontractors, and must keep their phones, passwords, email accounts, and support tools secure. They are responsible for every command, access change, configuration change, service action, installation action, support action, and instruction made through their account or by people acting under their supervision.

Service providers are responsible for local site inspection, safe working methods, competent staff, electrical and mechanical safety, client authorisation, local licences or permits, local law, local standards, insurance, worker training, and accurate handover to the client. They must test any installation, repair, access restriction, access release, configuration change, wiring change, software update, or maintenance action before returning the door or site to use.

VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, and Vetromax.com are not responsible for losses, damage, unsafe operation, unauthorised access, local compliance failure, service delay, poor workmanship, incorrect wiring, incorrect configuration, staff misuse, client disputes, or site incidents caused by a service provider, installer, distributor, contractor, subcontractor, or maintenance user, except where liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.

3.17 No warranties

Except where required by applicable law, the application, dashboard, device software, connected devices, control modules, cloud services, Bluetooth functions, Wi-Fi provisioning functions, communication services, logs, notifications, integrations, documentation, and related services are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis. VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, and Vetromax.com make no warranty, guarantee, or representation of uninterrupted availability, compatibility, accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, error-free operation, defect-free operation, security against all attacks, or suitability for any particular site, door, country, installation, automation system, network, phone, or user.

3.18 Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, and Vetromax.com are not liable for losses caused by misuse, unsafe operation, incorrect installation, remote operation without visual confirmation, use by family members, household staff, maids, guests, tenants, children, or other authorised or unauthorised users, a child or minor using a phone or account, accidental taps, repeated taps, third-party automation, third-party apps, screens, widgets, voice assistants, shortcuts, power failure, network failure, unauthorised access caused by shared credentials, or failure to maintain door safety equipment. These exclusions apply to the relevant Vetromax brand, website, application, server, reseller, distributor, installer, contractor, support, and service provider operations to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, and Vetromax.com are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, punitive, or economic loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of rent, loss of opportunity, loss of use, loss of access, loss caused by delayed access, loss caused by inability to access a property, loss caused by unauthorised access, property damage, data loss, or claims arising from third-party systems, user-created automations, unsafe operation, site-specific hazards, client instructions, delegated access, or non-compliant installation, except where liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.

3.19 Client and service provider indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the client, owner, site operator, installer, distributor, service company, service provider, contractor, maintenance user, or account holder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, Vetromax.com, their officers, employees, contractors, resellers, distributors, installers, support providers, and service providers from claims, losses, damages, costs, complaints, proceedings, or expenses arising from misuse, unsafe operation, shared credentials, child or guest access, unauthorised users, third-party integrations, user-created automations, non-compliant installation, unauthorised modification, bypassed safety devices, poor maintenance, unsafe site conditions, breach of these terms, or breach of applicable law, except where such indemnity is not permitted by applicable law.

3.20 International use and local law

Because Vetromax products and services may be supplied or used across different countries, the client, owner, installer, distributor, service company, site operator, and account holder are responsible for checking and complying with all applicable local laws, regulations, standards, approvals, permits, building rules, electrical rules, fire rules, access-control rules, privacy rules, employment or household staff rules, landlord or tenant rules, consumer rules, and door or gate safety requirements in the country, emirate, state, island, city, building, project, villa, or site where the system is installed or used.

Where local law gives a consumer, user, tenant, household staff member, employee, installer, or other person rights that cannot be excluded, limited, waived, or transferred by contract, those mandatory rights continue to apply. Where any part of these terms is not valid or enforceable in a particular country or location, that part should be applied only to the maximum extent permitted by local law, and the remaining parts should continue to apply as far as legally possible.

VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, and Vetromax.com are not responsible for penalties, claims, losses, delays, access problems, safety incidents, rejected approvals, failed inspections, installation issues, or disputes caused by a client, installer, distributor, site operator, or user failing to follow the applicable local law, local safety standard, project requirement, authority requirement, building rule, or site instruction, except where liability cannot be excluded by applicable law.

3.21 Governing law and jurisdiction

Unless otherwise required by mandatory local consumer protection law, these terms and any dispute, claim, complaint, or non-contractual matter arising from or relating to the VETROMAX UK app, server, dashboard, device software, connected device, account, support service, installation record, or related service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not prevent VETROMAX UK, Vetromax, or Vetromax.com from taking action in another country or court where necessary to protect safety, security, intellectual property, confidential information, payment rights, equipment, users, sites, or legal rights.

3.22 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found by a court, regulator, or administrative body of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law or shall be treated as removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

3.23 Third-party rights

No person who is not a party to these terms has any right to enforce any provision of these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise, except where VETROMAX UK expressly states otherwise in writing or where mandatory law requires otherwise.

3.24 Changes

VETROMAX UK may update this page as the app, server, device software, security model, legal requirements, or App Store requirements change. Continued use after an update means the user accepts the updated terms, unless applicable law requires another form of consent.

4. Consent Notice Shown In The App

Recommended in-app wording before login or during first account approval:

By signing in, you agree that VETROMAX UK may process your account details, approved villa/site access, connected device details, precise or approximate location where permission is granted, location labels, nearby device data, device identifiers, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi setup data, IP address, door command history, access restriction/release history, and support logs. This is used for secure access control, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, audit, security verification, emergency fallback, and support. You must only operate doors when safe and you must not share credentials or bypass admin access restrictions.

5. Pages Needed For App Store Release
